The Cactus Cat was found by Assistant Annie Nekoba {Hercules Rank} on the Jungle near Local 00.

Annie Nekoba was collecting information on the Rarihi Village and other nearby villages and tribes to try to discover if any Local had been discovered by anyone not related to the Project. While doing so, Annie Nekoba noticed an ocelot had been following her throughout her journey through the jungle. The ocelot had brownish red fur opposed to the usual yellow fur of normal ocelots. Annie Nekoba then stopped to take a better look at the animal, and realizing it had been spotted, the ocelot, came down from the branch it was standing and approached the Assistant. The animal showed itself to be very docile and layed down on front of the Assistant. Assistant Nekoba then moved closer attempting to pet the small creature but as she did she realized something odd about the creature's fur, it was thicker and pointy at the tips, like flexible quills. This fact impressed the Assistant and so she lured the ocelot with some food she had on her backpack all the way back to Local 00 where one of the guards shot a tranquilizer dart at the animal after the Assistant signaled him to do so. Assistant Nekoba picked up the unconscious ocelot and brought it inside.

After a terrarium was designated for the ocelot to live in, it showed itself to be more intelligent then it looked as it was able to escape from his terrarium more than once.

After a few tests it was proved that the ocelot had intelligence above Project War Companion Standards. The tests regarding the ocelots fur proved that the two anomalies (Different colored fur; Needle like fur) had originated from two different mutations on the ocelots genetic code. These three anomalies of the animal together didn’t seem to be a random mutation and so the theory that this was the work of some other intelligent being, probably human, engaging in the same type of activities as the Project was born.

The animal was nicknamed Cactus Cat after the cryptid of the same name, and was moved to a better terrarium nearer to the laboratory section of Local 00 for easier testing.

The theory about the mysterious creation of the Cactus Cat remains unproven.
