Edward Break is a male scientist of Caucasian descent, specialized in gene manipulation and gene engineering. Edward is easily recognizable by his dark hair and cybernetic brain implant that extends outside of his skull partially covering the right side of his face.

 

At only 20 years of age Dr. Edward Break was already breaking new grounds on Project research. He started working in partnership with the Project to research himself. Like many other humans born after humanity traversed The Snake Hole, Edward was born with a special kind of telekinesis. These powers have been rumored to come from another ‘key’ not unlike the O-0001. Unlike most of these humans, who can only control specific chemical elements or groups of elements, Edward was born being capable of controlling any kind of element

 

His first research was unsuccessful but he managed to develop his powers in a unique way. Unlike most others with his power, Dr. Break found a way to focus his powers in a microscopic scale. With this new ability he could control elements inside molecules and create and destroy chemical bonds to alter them.

 

Years of research and a cybernetic enhancement to his brain later, Dr. Break could now write new genes with the language of life, DNA. This process is risky thought, and even with his expertise Dr. Break doesn’t venture much out of his comfort zone in fear of what he could create. That doesn’t mean that he isn’t behind some of the most exquisite Cryptids we have at our disposal. His capabilities in gene manipulation are of upmost value to our organization and plans to extent his lifespan are not only debated but already in motion.

 

Dr. Break is viewed but his peers as a ‘mad scientist’, his means of research are … questionable, and his morals debatable yet he does seem to express an incredible compassion towards his creations.

 

Both impressive and scary is what he considers to be his Magnum Opus, C-0023. That creature is, well, it’s one of the most powerful weapons the Project has, it’s even under review for a Pandora classification by the Gaia Council. But the creature, it does not have a failsafe, if it was to escape, well, nothing we have could ever stop it. Why no failsafe is present on C-0023 has been used as an argument to question Dr. Break’s true intentions.

 

Dr. Break currently works and resides at Local 02, working closely with Darius Smithson [Gaia Rank]. This connection with the superior has gathered him quite a bit of freedom in his work.

 

With or without bad intentions, Dr. Break importance to the Project is unquestionable, and he is one of the biggest assets to our cause, and as such so long as he is cooperating with the Gaia Council, all criticisms and suspicions are to be ignored.
