Jackalope
Criptid Class: Dryad
ID: C-0013
Role: Weapon
Species: Jackalope
Current Location: Unknown
Nickname:
C-0013 was created by the Project inspired on the cryptid by the name of Jackalope.
The Jackalope was created as a surprise weapon.
The Project created one singular Jackalope, a male. The Jackalope looks just like a small rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus) with black fur and two small horns originating on his head. The Jackalope also has eyes with very small pupils and barely any iris rendering him almost blind. The Jackalope has an extremely good sense of smell and hearing. The Jackalope also has extremely sharp and strong teeth and a jaw force rivaling that of Big Cats. All his four paws have sharp black claws. Jackalope’s intelligence was engineered to meet Project War Companion Standards but it is theorized that he could be smarter.
The Jackalope was created to seem like a non threatening critter to any alien invader, so that it could be used as a surprise attack.
The Jackalope is currently being housed on Local 03 on a 35m x 35 m x 5 m terrarium enclosure made to emulate a forest environment.
The Jackalope is a carnivore and is to be fed around 2,5 kg of meat everyday, of any variety including failed Project experiments.
The Jackalope was assigned to Biologist Jana Dixon for training. Jana found training the Jackalope extremely difficult since it was extremely aggressive. Jana attempted to train the creature to approach targets innocently and attack only at striking distance, which proved to be extremely difficult since the Jackalope would attack anything and anyone.
The Jackalope was gestated on a mammalian incubation machine.
The Jackalope was assigned to Project Disaster Events ranking from 3 and up with the added condition that the creature was trained enough to be deemed battlefield ready.

File Update.
Reason: C-0013 missing.
After a security breach the Jackalope containment was breached and it was able to escape during the pandemonium.
The following week rumors of a super predator on the woods started circulating on the Matomato tribe. Task Force Artemis was immediately sent to investigate and attempt a retrieval of the escaped cryptid.
Researcher Allen had a contact on the Matomato tribe and he was able to gather that the rumors started when the Matomato hunters found three dead deer with a single bite mark on the neck and with bites taken out of their bellies. A few days later two boars were also found dead in similar conditions. After these two incidents and some others that followed, the Matomato hunters began speculating on the possibility of the super predator’s existence, and thus the rumors began.
A few weeks went by, and the incidents continued but the Artemis Task Force was not able to locate and capture the Jackalope.
Seven weeks after the escape of the Jackalope a new rumor started amongst the Matomato tribe, a rumor that the beast had been tamed by a guardian from the stars.
When Researcher Allen inquired his contact, and he informed that the hunters had the help of a three eyed alien who came from the stars on a small ship. He explained that the alien tamed the creature and departed again with it, like an angel taming and capturing an escaped demon.
Researcher Allen reported his findings to the Project and the Project decided to cease all attempts to find C-0013 after it was proved it was indeed missing, to save Project resources.
