Cryptid Project

O-0001, better known as The Forever, is a level 5 object of uncertain origin.

 

 The Forever resembles a large light blue gem that constantly emits a faint glow. The gem is oval in shape, around 21 cm tall and about 16 cm in diameter.

 

 The exact origin of The Forever is mostly unknown. It was acquired by the Project in its early years gifted by a metallic beast to Prof. Clint Alpin {Gaia Rank} himself. The beast explained little about the origins of the object, mentioning that it was created by the old gods before their demise. The beast referred to the object as a ‘key’ and ensured that other six keys had been created as well, along with a key frame. Before leaving the beast informed that those who connected with the gem could live forever, so long as they maintained contact with it. Any life deemed biological by the gem could maintain its existence into infinity. After gifting the gem to the founder of the Project, and explaining to him its power, the beast was never seen again.

 

 As explained by the beast, The Forever can extend the life of individuals, sentient or not, for un undefined amount so long as they maintain contact with it. To test this power, Dr. Myoki West volunteered to bond with the gem, upon her success, the other six Gaia ranks at the time also bonded with the gem, all except for Prof. Clint Alpin who thought his life wasn’t worth extending. In the aftermath of the gem's usage only one person survived, retaining the same youthful look and health they had at the time they used The Forever, Dr. Myoki West. The other five Gaia Ranks that bonded with The Forever died weeks after the bond, even after being in contact with it every day.

 

 The Forever was stored for a period of time in the first Pandora Vault, deep within Local 01.

 

 The Forever fell out of Project custody after it bonded in an unforeseen way. After Prof. Clint Alpin’s first attempt at a Pandora Class resulted in his death, and in the escape of the subject, C-0024, a full on containment breach occurred in Local 01. During the breach the C-0024 destroyed the wall of the first Pandora Vault and accidently bonded with The Forever. The creature was shot at multiple times, but its wounds healed faster than anyone had ever seen. The creature continued to slither away, destroying the walls, that were more than a meter thick, taking The Forever, which now levitated above its head, along with it. As the creature escaped, the main building of Local 01 collapsed around the Project personnel whom were forced to quit the chase and escaped to safety. 

 

 To this day the creature hasn’t been found. Many have searched for it but none have succeeded. With it The Forever has also vanished. Many sightings of such a creature have been investigated all through the entire Furadhoroo planet, but to no avail.

Strangely even without contact with The Forever, Dr. Myoki West survived alive and well, still retaining the same youth and health as back then.

 After the incident, all cryptids, except for C-0024, were recaptured and Local 01's main building was rebuilt. In the aftermath of the incident the Pandora Vaults were redesigned to be more sturdy and resistant.

 

 Recent events regarding the Age of Heroes in planet Ovhar-har have shed some light on the origins of The Forever. The Forever along with the other six Keys where apparently created by a race of alien life forms known now as the Paleogods. The Gods that guided humans to the Ovhar system seem to know more about the origins of these cosmic keys, the Project is gathering information on the possibility of capturing one of these Gods for questioning.
